In a first for New Zealand audiences, leading Australian didgeridoo player William Barton (Kalkadungu) joins forces with the world-renowned Brodsky Quartet from the UK.

Join us for an eclectic programme which traverses time, including Barton’s own music, the New Zealand premiere of Andrew Ford’s String Quartet No 7 written during the 2019 Australian bushfires, to Janáček and Stravinsky.

A true master of his craft, regarded for his incomparable and awe-inspiring performances, Barton has performed with the world's most esteemed orchestras.

The “polished and impeccable” (Limelight Magazine) Brodsky Quartet are at the forefront of the international chamber music scene with 50 years of music-making and more than 3,000 concerts under their belts.

Be there to experience a musical fusion like no other as two exceptional talents come together at the Michael Fowler Centre.
