An acid-toned slushy drink next to a pool in Fiji, a frothy hydro-slide, babies’ swimming lessons, pool floats. All of these visual experiences and the fizz of excitement they bring have inspired Erica to create a new body of work dedicated to pools. Working with humour, pastiche and parody, she renders these watery scenes in tapestries, embroidery, beading, photography and more. This will be Erica’s first solo exhibition since becoming a mother.
