• Pukapuka Tāwhiri

Five schools have been participating in our new Pukapuka Tāwhiri programme which is all about reading for pleasure and turning curious eyes onto Aotearoa's bookshelves to ask, which books keep the fires of interest alive? The resources below have been designed to help teachers and students think about a selection of books from Aotearoa's past. They prompt questions such as: why is this book still interesting for us today? What is weird about it? What is surprisingly fresh? You are welcome to download these resources, as well as the A3 poster designed by illustrator Giselle Clarkson, to design your own Pukapuka Tāwhiri experience.
